Welcome from The University of Oxford
The University of Oxford is one of the leading universities globally, with an outstanding reputation for excellence in teaching and research. The University is at the forefront of research into mental health in older adults, conducting pioneering studies on cognitive decline, dementia, depression, and other conditions. The Department of Psychiatry sits within the University’s Medical Sciences Division and is based on the Warneford Hospital site in Oxford. The Department has a substantial research programme and works with hospitals, patients, and industry partners to translate research insights into effective treatment and prevention.
The Department of Psychiatry and Linacre College intend to appoint to the Professorship of Old Age Psychiatry. This context provides the Professorship of Old Age Psychiatry with a unique opportunity to influence research strategy and the future of mental health care for older adults on one of the world’s leading clinical academic campuses.
